Check out what people are saying about "Let Go!"

  • "Very professional performance, both vocal and instrumental.  Well produced."

"You're love of the genre comes through very clearly in your performance which is full of fun, wit and energy.  I also feel that the production itself sounds excellent, so kudos to all involved in that respect as well!"

"I think that by paying homage to the greats like Billie and Ella and putting your own contemporary spin on it lyrically, you are doing a great thing!  Keep it coming!"

  • "Gloria Miller is a singer's singer. Although one should not go so far as to request that she sing the phone book, she's the sort of singer folks say such things about.

'Because of Your Love' is an old school soul/blues song, with a lyric all about all the good gifts love can bring to a life. However, 'Your Touch' features flute and other jazz elements, as well as a mighty fine electric piano solo. 'He's The One' is also jazz, but it is more stripped down with cute old-time backing vocals. In other words, it swings.

Miller is a singer to keep your eye on. Better yet, keep an ear out for whatever she's doing musically.

  • "Gloria Miller grew up in Chicago, with a musical grounding that
spanned gospel, jazz and r&b. It might come as a surprise therefore
to learn that she is currently based on England’s south coast in the
    naval city of Portsmouth.

For this self-penned set, she equips herself with the aid of ten musicians, although they are often used sparingly. Most of the material is in ballad vein, sometimes rather drifting in search of a tune, exampled by the sax-supported ‘Shine’ and the birdsong-intro’d ‘ So Much More’. ‘I’m Not Afraid’ raises the temperature just a tad and things move up a notch further still with ‘You Made Me’, a keyboard and percussion number with a slight Latin rhythm and a high spot of the album.

Given that the record label is called perky, only the ‘Life Lessons’ closer and the opening ‘He’s The One’ fall into that category, whereas tracks two through five are all downtempo, ‘Because Of Your Love’, ‘Your Touch’ and ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ being nice without being special and bettered by ‘Let Go And Let God’, which benefits from a classy cello and piano arrangement."
